Global Underwater Explorers

Global Underwater Explorers emerged out of a shared desire to safely explore and protect the underwater world and to improve the quality of education and research in all things aquatic. GUE is a non-profit organization working to redefine the ties binding the average underwater enthusiast to underwater explorers, conservationists and scientific researchers. GUE is committed to the overall goal of promoting the interests of the underwater world and of those who seek to engage it.



Navy Experimental Diving Unit

NEDU is the Navy's leading center for diving research, including equipment testing and evaluation, providing biomedical and engineering solutions for undersea operations. With unique facilities in Panama City, Florida, NEDU conducts deep submergence and saturation diving to equivalent depths of 2,000fsw. Recent studies have included:

Technical Diving Africa

We are situated 915m above sea level, between Badplaas and Barberton in the beautiful countryside of Mpumalanga, South Africa. Komati Springs, our dive site, was once a mine, which left a large hole and a joining cave system. This has subsequently flooded, giving excellent conditions for all forms of diving. In the open water it reaches 55 meters and the caves have been explored to 182 meters.

Good quality air, nitrox, trimix and argon is available. We are rebreather friendly, and stock sorb. All levels of training is available and we specialize in the more Technical Dives, including Nitrox, Cave, Trimix and Rebreathers. The dive shop stocks a very good selection of recreational and technical equipment, spares, and rebreathers.
